...and for another full moon in scorpio

"I have known true alchemists," the alchemist continued.
"They locked themselves in their laboratories, and tried to evolve, as gold had. And they found the Philosopher's Stone, because they understood that when something evolves everything around that thing evolves as well.
"Others stumbled upon the stone by accident. They already had the gift, and their souls were readier for such things than the souls of others. But they don't count. They're quite rare.
"And then there were others, who were only interested in gold. They never found the secret. They forgot that lead, copper, and iron have their own Personal Legends to fulfill. And anyone who interferes with the Personal Legend of another thing never will discover his own."

-Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

  1. next time you talk down to me in public or at all i will take revenge and it won't be on my behalf. i know where you live so danae, keep you're fucking opinions to yourself. Don't act out on me because you're a misreable, broke, middle aged bitch - who has no life, funds or future got it?

  4. Dan,

Don't worry about that psycho thats just posted.

Do not burn any energy on a broken person that has clearly some deep issues.
Ignore it and it will go away.
And if it comes back and makes that faint buzzing noise, slightly less annoying than a mosquito in a thunderstorm, you have friends that will stand by you.

I like your art Dan, its colorful, original and personally meaningful.

To the 'anonymous' person, I dont care who you are and chances are if I ever met you in real life I would give you the attention you deserve (ie. Not much at all).
    But by coming here and spewing your vitirol you have shown me a few things about yourself;
    - Your ego is as fragile as an eggshell.
    - Making public threats is not a very good idea, you never know who peoples friends are.
    - People's opinions are just that, opinions. But there is a line and you have just crossed it.
    - Your evaluation of Dan shows that though you have eyes you can not see. Anyone who knows Dan knows Dan is full of inner glow, making her own way in life and is warm and kind.
    - Your obsessing with funds there a little, what is it? Daddy cut your stipend?

A scholarship at east adelaide art school eh? I was not aware that now they give scholarships as remedial activity for the unhinged.

Lastly I have wasted 5 minutes too much on you, and the only reason I have done so oh ye unidentifiable and somewhat disgusting sticky splotch on the sole of left shoe of life is because Dan might get some small relief from your very slightly annoying posts.

You will one day become 'middle aged' yourself. But unlike Dan, instead of inner glow, wisdom and composure you will radiate corruption, darkness, wrinkles and nothing else.

PS. Next time have the ovaries to post under your own name. You do understand that there is no such thing as 'anonymous' on the internet when law kicks in... or does your stupidity extend even to such basics?

  5. hmm. about my drawings - I do them because I like to, not for art's sake. They feel like a complement to writing, that's all. I did actually go to art school, with drawing as a minor to my Professional and Creative Writing studies. (I'm not finished yet, but one day I may get there.)

funny thing is that with 5000 readers here regularly I get a lot of people asking for prints. Another person I know who has a homewares store has asked me for framed originals to sell.

I don't need to pursue it, it has just come to me. I love that. And I really love my life!

thanks to all my beautiful supporters, you are all very important to me.

    dan x

  6. Your art is full of feeling and life, of depth and humour, cynicism with a cheeky smile! It is luminescent and a joy to the eye. We are all very blessed to have you share it with us.

    We love you!

  7. "i will take revenge and it won't be on my behalf."

Apart from being sad and pathetic, that is simply nonsensical.

    Dear Anonymous

(Google it if you need to)
I sincerely hope things improve for you because life is way too short to waste. Get some help - whatever is needed before you discover you have become a miserable, broke middle-aged unmedicated psychotic. None of us are immune to growing older, my dear.

  8. Anon,

Thankfully so many others have encouraged you to the light, citing karma, even extremely kind advise for you.

But all I can say is that the Jerry Springer crew is looking for you. Do you think you can abandon the pole for a few minutes to throw a chair or two?

    Love and light always,

  9. East Adelaide Art School? Of, pfft. Hardly worth bragging about having a "scholarship" - in any event, are you sure it wasn't granted to you for financial difficulties - or was it one of those schemes where they try to rehabilitate ageing hookers/stippers, Anonymous? Because on reading your comment, it would appear to be the case that it is you, not Danae, that is acting out some pretty messed up attitude regarding "life, funds and future." Good luck with that!

    Regards from Another Anonymous (Georgia)
